Controlled environments
Greenhouses and indoor growing, where conditions can genuinely be set rather than merely observed, and where a control loop has something to act on.
About
We build agricultural technology — the software and control systems that let a growing operation be measured, repeated and extended.
ArchOrganix works at the join between agriculture and software. Growing is one of the oldest engineered processes there is, and still one of the least instrumented: a season that goes well often cannot be explained afterwards, and therefore cannot be run again on purpose.
Our whole premise is that this is a solvable software problem. Record what actually happened, close the loop between sensing and action, and make the resulting method portable — and a good outcome stops being a matter of a particular grower in a particular year.
The name is the two halves of the work. Arch is the structure: the discipline, the record, the systems that hold under load. Organix is what the structure is for — living processes that will not be told what to do, only given better conditions.
AI has raised the stakes on both sides. Models are only as good as the measurements beneath them, and a confident wrong answer costs a season rather than a sprint. We would rather build the instrumentation and the guard rails first, and be slower to automate a judgement than to inform one.
Focus
Greenhouses and indoor growing, where conditions can genuinely be set rather than merely observed, and where a control loop has something to act on.
Instrumentation, data capture and the long-lived history that makes a method reproducible instead of remembered.
Applications for iOS, iPadOS and macOS and for the web, built for use in the crop and in the office, plus the services behind them.
